Fassnacht leads Warriors to 5-0 start at Par Line

Senior Brock Fassnacht carded a match-best 78 and the Warwick golf team opened its season by taking first place in a Section Two battle at Par Line Golf Course in Elizabethtown on Tuesday.

The Warriors’ (5-0) team score of 333 was 46 strokes ahead of runner-up Garden Spot, led by Adam Hershey, who shot an 86.

Ephrata (385), which got a team-best 85 from Jeet Patel,finished in third place, just in front of host Elizabethtown (387), and Conestoga Valley completed the top five with a 418.

Zach Stoyer was second for Warwick with an 82, while Kathryn Pelensky finished with a round of 85 and Kyle Gibble chipped in with an 88 to lead the Warriors, who are newcomers to Section Two in the new L-L realignment.

Warwick and the rest of Section Two will return to action this Friday at Overlook, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
