Welliver running ‘for the kids’

By on November 22, 2016

For the past two years, J.P. Welliver has been raising money for children with pediatric cancer as a runner for The Hope Express.

“This year,” Welliver said, “without The Hope Express, I told myself that I needed to take action and do something.

“Over the next three months, I plan to embark on a journey of running 500 miles and raising $3,000 for the kids,” Welliver explained. “These runs and blog have three core values: hope, love, and happiness. Hope &tstr; that we will find a cure one day for this disease; love &tstr; for those fighting continually and those that have lost; and happiness &tstr; for the world around us that is in need of inspiration.”

“Let me know if there is someone you want me to honor on my runs,” Welliver added. “In addition, for every $100 I raise, I will send 25 cards to local nursing homes for those who need some additional love and inspiration. Together, we will keep hope alive.”
