George W. Koelsch Jr. and Peggy (Houck) Koelsch celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this week.

They were wed Nov. 10, 1956, at First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster.

Peggy graduated from New Holland High School and attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She retired from Wolf’s Tree Service. George graduated from Clark Summit High School, attended Lehigh University, and graduated from Franklyn & Marshall College. He retired from Superior Walls, and worked for H&R Block through 2016.

They have enjoyed traveling around the world, but are excited that they recently slept in their 50th state, visiting Hawaii for their 60th anniversary, and have also slept in all provinces of Canada. They retired their RV this year.

The Koelsches are charter members of Highland Presbyterian Church, and remain active. They also serve in many capacities at Brethren Village, where they reside.

George and Peggy are proud of their children and spouses: Rick and Deb of Millersville; Patti and Paul Stoudt of Bloomsburg; Chuck and Jamie of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and Jim and Lisa of Lititz. They have also been blessed with nine grandchildren: Abbie, wife of Jeff Thompson; Jenn, wife of Jay Hackett; Chris, husband of Kendra Koelsch; Matt Stoudt; Nathan Stoudt; Courtney Koelsch; Heidi Stoudt; Corissa Koelsch; and Caiti Koelsch; and three great-grandchildren: Jaycie and Ethan Koelsch; and Anna Thompson.

Peggy and George are looking forward to celebrating soon with friends and family at the VFW in Millersville, as well as other activities in a fun-filled weekend.
