Gehmans married 50 years

Karen (Endy) and Carl Gehman, of Ephrata, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this week.

They were married July 16, 1966, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Port Clinton, by the Rev. Joseph H. Heiney.

Carl is the owner of Red Rose Cabinetry, Lititz, and continues to work every day, enjoying the challenges of operating a business. Karen had owned and operated her own beauty shop.

The Gehmans are the proud parents of three sons: Richard, husband of Roxanne (Foltz) Gehman, Ephrata; Timothy, husband of Christina (Dill) Gehman, Freehold, N.J.; and James, husband of Shawnna (Blessing) Gehman, Ephrata. They have five grandchildren: Zachary, Ara, Olivia, and twins Megan and Kaylee.

They are antique car enthusiasts. Carl enjoys NASCAR races and Karen designs and creates wreathes. She also enjoys flower gardening and colonial history.

The Gehmans especially like spending time at the beach, and being with their grandchildren.
