Exhibition, sale will benefit young artist

Artist Ceanna Davis, 12, has been drawing since she was two years old. She does all forms of media, and art is her life.

After applying to, and after months of waiting, she was accepted into the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts summer arts program in Michigan. Her family has already raised half of the over $5,000 tuition. On Saturday, May 24, Ceanna will hold an art show at the Barnyard Studio, 1519 Brunnerville Road, Lititz, from 5 to 9 p.m.

The show will include original artwork displayed, for sale and up for auction by Ceanna and a few other local artists. There will also be chances to win one of many Chinese auction baskets, food, raffles, door prizes and even a ‘Chalk Talk’ by Ceanna’s art teacher Elva Hurst. Refreshments will be served.
