Corruption charge involves sexual contact with minor

The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department reported the following:

CORRUPTION – Police responded to the 2100 block of West Main Street in Ephrata at 2:31 p.m. April 5 and served an outstanding bench warrant on Jason Lloyd Shirk, 33, of that address. Shirk was taken into custody and to the Lancaster County Prison without incident. Shirk was also charged with corruption of minors/ furnishing alcohol to minors after he was investigated for allegations of child abuse after he had sexual contact with a 16-year-old female. Shirk also provided the female with beer and vodka.

TRESPASS – Police responded to the Warwick Inn and Suites, 613 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, at 2:37 p.m. April 5 for a possible weapons in progress call which involved a hand gun. As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were charged by police: Rasheena Sharea Stewart, 24, of 412 Pershing Avenue, Lancaster, was charged with driving under suspension which was DUI related; Luis Enrig Rodriguez, 27, no known address, was charged with felony criminal trespass; Kristen Nichole Mitchell, 30, of 577 Pershing Avenue, Lancaster, with felony criminal trespass also. The criminal trespass was a result of Stewart and Rodriguez entering two rooms where they had no authorization to do so. Mitchell and Rodriguez were arraigned and placed in Lancaster County Prison. Bail information was not available at the time of this press release. There were no weapons located.

CRASH – Police responded to a single car crash in the 300 block of Rudy Dam Road in Lititz at 5:31 a.m. April 5. Upon arrival, police observed a 1999 Infiniti i30, black in color, on its roof with a utility pole and wires across the road. There were no occupants inside the car. The crash is still under investigation.

HARASSMENT – Tyler Jones, 22, 309 Park Avenue, Lititz, was charged with harassment after an altercation in the 200 block of Pleasant Hill Drive in Lititz at 3:24 p.m. April 6.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – A Penn Township resident in the 500 block of W. Sun Hill Road in Lititz heard a loud noise in front of her residence and noticed that her mailbox and post had been struck by a car at 8:43 p.m. April 5. The car continued and did not stop. There are no suspects.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – Police responded to a report of two damaged mailboxes on Woodland Avenue in Lititz April 7. According to the caller, he recalled seeing a large, full-size vehicle near his mailbox around 10 p.m. There are no suspects. Damage to the mailboxes is estimated at approximately $100.

BURGLARY IN PROGRESS – At the request of the Pennsylvania State Police, police responded to a report of a burglary in progress on Long Lane in Lititz at 4:42 a.m. April 8. An ElizabethTownship resident reported seeing two people on his property and a truck was backed into his driveway. Police remained on scene until the arrival of PSP.
