William K. Ressler, 96, Luther Acres, married 72 years, member of Calvary Bible Church

William K. Ressler, of Luther Acres, Lititz, formerly of Mountville, was called home to glory June 11, 2014, four days before his 97th birthday.

He was born in Mountville, son of the late Roy and May Kauffman Ressler. He was the husband of Anna Risser Ressler to whom he was married for 72 years.

William was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1935 and worked as pattern maker for DL Martin during WWII in Baltimore before joining the family business of Roy Ressler and Son, Mountville where he was a leader in the company for many years. He was a charter member of the Associated Builders and Contractors and the Propane Gas Association. He was an active member in several local churches where he taught Sunday School and served on various boards and committees. At the time of his death he was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Mount Joy.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three children: Mary Anne wife of Elwood Heisey, Lebanon; James husband of Barbara Ressler, Manheim; and John husband of Sharon Ressler, Mount Wolf; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister: Jane Ressler; and an infant grandson.

A Memorial Service was held in the Community Room at Luther Acres, Lititz on June 14.Private interment in Mountville Cemetery.
