William ‘Bill’ Dengler, Lititz native, WHS grad, was National Park Ranger for 34 years

“Bill” Dengler, 75, died at home Dec. 8, 2014 of congestive heart disease complicated by liver and kidney failure.

Born and raised in Lititz, he was the son of William Souders Dengler and Margaret Uhlrich Dengler.

He was a member of the Warwick High School class of 1957. Following a 34-year career as a National Park Service ranger, he settled in Port Townsend, Wash., to be near his daughters.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Alyce, nee Hance; and daughters: Alyce Ann DeMarais and Mary Margaret Ratcliffe.

His brother John preceded him in death.

Arrangements were private at the convenience of the family.
