Theresa E. Hoffman, 84, bank teller, secretary, mother of six, enjoyed bridge, helping others

Theresa E. Hoffman, 84, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at her home in Lititz.

She was born on Sept. 26, 1934, in Sharon, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kulka. She was the wife of Robert J. Hoffman, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage.

Theresa was predominantly a homemaker; but also worked as a bank teller and secretary. Family was central in her life. She devoted much time to “spoiling” her grandchildren, and any other child who came in reach. Throughout her adult life she was an avid bridge player. She was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church in Lititz. Her warm, and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Theresa is survived by five children: Robert G. (Kathleen), Lititz; Timothy J. (Constance), Dallas, Ga.; Sherri I. (David) Stauffer, Manheim; Terry E. (Scott) Conn, Lebanon; William M. (Deirdre) Hoffman, Rothsville; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son: John D. Hoffman.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
