Tammy L. Whitehead, 55, World Travel employee, Lititz VFW Ladies Auxiliary member

Tammy L. (Strantz) Whitehead, 55, of Lititz, passed away peacefully June 6, 2015 at the Mount Joy Hospice Center after an 18-month battle with brain cancer.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Yvonne (Schmidt) Strantz and the late Leonard Strantz.
Tammy was a member of LCBC in Manheim. A graduate of Solanco High School and Southeastern Academy, Tammy was employed by World Travel Inc. She was a member of the Elstonville Sportsman Association and Ladies Auxiliary at Lititz VFW, Post 1463. Tammy had a smile that could light up a room. So kind and happy, she was loved by everyone who met her.
Tammy is survived by her husband of 27 years: Dwayne Whitehead; children: James and Lyndsey; stepson: Shaun; grandchildren: Bree and Lucas; sister: Terry (Strantz) Schelling; and brother-in-law: Thomas Schelling.
A celebration of life service will be held for Tammy on Friday, June 12, from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by her funeral at 7 p.m. at LCBC Church, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim. Enter at the Plaza Entrance. Tammy asked that she have a happy service. Guests are encouraged to wear happy, bright colors.
