Stephen W. Winebarger, 60, MCHS grad, worked at Country Value Woodworking, classic car buff

Stephen “Steve” W. Winebarger, 60, of Strasburg, formerly of Manheim, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at LGH of natural causes.

Born Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1955, in Lancaster, he was the son of Stanford W. Winebarger, of Manheim and the late Betty M. (Whiteman) Winebarger.

A Christian, Steve was a member of the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ, Lancaster. Steve was a 1973 graduate of Manheim Central. He enjoyed drag racing, wrestling and antiques. A classic car buff, Steve especially liked Ford Mustangs. Steve had worked at Country Value Woodworking, Quarryville, and as a driver for the Amish community.

He will be lovingly missed by his father: Stanford; two sisters: Amanda S., married to Mark Wagner Sr., of Lancaster; and Heidi L., married to Scott Breland, of Manheim; as well as extended family and caring friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Michael R. Winebarger.

Stephen’s celebration of life service will be held at the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ, 2045 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster, on Saturday, May 7, at noon. Interment will be private in the Hernly’s Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim, at the convenience of the family.
