Shannon Kissinger-Rothfus, 38, PetSmart, Humane League worker, enjoyed cruises, and Disney trips

Shannon Kissinger-Rothfus, 38, of Lititz, died Friday, May 22, 2015, in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Lancaster she was a daughter of Charlene (Kauffman) Burkholder of Lititz, and the late Raymond L. Kissinger.

Shannon worked at PetSmart in the pet grooming salon, was a pet lover, enjoyed traveling to Disney World, going on cruises, and to the beach. Shannon was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and was also employed with the Humane League of Chester and Lancaster Counties.

In addition to her mother she is survived by a daughter: Kendall Rothfus, at home; a sister: Nichole Mosser of Lititz; half-sister: Desiree Kissinger of Ephrata; step-mother: Virginia Kissinger of Lancaster; husband: Michael D. Rothfus of Lancaster; grandparents: Charles and Rose Kauffman, and Frank and Geraldine Leed.

Services were held June 1 at Lititz Mennonite Church. Interment will be held at the convenience of her family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kendall Rothfus education fund.
