Ruth Elizabeth Parker, 91, worked at Boeing, Watt & Shand, enjoyed gardening and reading

Ruth Elizabeth Parker, 91, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at UPMC Pinnacle Lititz.

She was born in Bellvue, Colo., to the late John Anderson and Maude Belle (Pomeroy) Mapes, and was the wife of the late Ralph L. Parker, who died in 2001.

Ruth had worked for the Boeing Corp. in Seattle, Wash., prior to working for the Watt & Shand department store in Lancaster. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and sewing as hobbies.

Ruth is survived by a son: Ray T. Middleton of Lititz; a daughter: Bonnie Jean Myers-Trout and husband, the Rev. Dennis Trout, of Denver; three grandchildren: Kevin Myers and wife, Nicole, of Ephrata; Karen and husband, Michael Myers, of Newtown; and Sheena Middleton of California; and six great-grandchildren: Andrew, Chandler and Megan Myers; Aaron, Andrea, and Julia Myers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.
