Roy B. Martin, 84, Martin’s Greenhouse owner, father of four, attended Hammer Creek Mennonite

Roy B. Martin, 84, of Manheim, died peacefully on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Paul and Lizzie Burkholder Martin. Roy was the loving husband of Esther Mae Rohrer Martin; who died on the same day two years ago.

Roy and his wife were the owners and operators of Martin’s Greenhouse in Mastersonville. He was a member of Hammer Creek Mennonite Church, Lititz.

Surviving are three sons: Daryl R., husband of Mary K. Martin, of Lititz; Duane R., husband of Kathy A. Martin, of Manheim; Delmar R. Martin of Millersville; a daughter-in-law: Mary M. Martin of Manheim; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Arlene Sauder of Lititz.

Preceding him in death is a son: Dale R. Martin; a granddaughter: Kristy L. Grube; and a sister: Esther E. Martin.

Services were held Nov. 20 at Hammer Creek Mennonite Church, Lititz. Interment will be private in Hess Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Roy’s memory to Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, 3026 Mount Hope Home Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
