Ronald ‘Joe’ Groff, 81, RH Brubaker retiree, Lancaster Co. Softball Hall of Fame member

Ronald “Joe” Groff, 81, of Manheim, passed away Oct. 4, 2017.

Born May 17, 1936, in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Earl W. and Anna (Turner) Groff.

Joe loved spending time with his family and friends, laughing, and playing games. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He also had a passion for fast pitch softball and was well known for his pitching. Joe was inducted into the Lancaster County Softball Hall of Fame Garrett Park on June 23, 2007. He worked for Pantry Pride and later retired from RH Brubaker.

He is survived by four sons: Randy, Jeff (Kathy), Dan (Monique), and David (Heather); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth and Richard; and one sister: Deborah Sigman.

Joe was preceded in death by seven brothers.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Inc.
