Robert Leroy Callihan, 89, accomplished sculptor, enjoyed golfing and fishing, die-hard PSU football fan

Robert Leroy Callihan, 89, passed away at his home in Manheim on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Robert was born May 2, 1929, to David L. Callihan and Ila L. (Burkey) in Johnstown.

In his younger years, Robert was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, and he was a very accomplished sculptor. He was a die-hard Duke basketball and Penn State football fan.

Robert was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Martha L (Garrett) Callihan, his daughter Valerie Jo, and seven siblings,

Surviving are a son: Douglas R. Callihan (Marci); two grandchildren: Angela Callihan and Matthew D. Callihan (Erin); four step-grandchildren: Peter Williams, Tevis Williams, D.J. Williams (Sophia) and Ronnie Williams; and four great-grandchildren: Hannah, Tadhg, Bria, Addison, and Rhys. Also, surviving are sisters: Alice and Evelyn.

Services were held at Gravenor Home for Funerals, Ephrata, on March 11. Interment followed at at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
