Robert F. Longenecker, 75, U.S. Army veteran, father of two, enjoyed golfing and fly fishing

Robert F. Longenecker, 75, of Manheim, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Sporting Hill, he was the son of the late Edwin and Grace Frysinger Longenecker.

A veteran, Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed golfing and fly fishing.

Surviving is the mother of their children: Margaret K. Longenecker, of Manheim; two children: Karen A. Carter of Glenside; and Robert A. Longenecker, companion of Amber Feldser, of Manheim; two grandchildren: Katelyn Longenecker and Amanda Carter, both at home; a brother: Ralph Longenecker of North Carolina; and two sisters: Joyce Hertzog of Ephrata, and JoAnn wife of Ray Clugston of Denver.

Preceding him in death is a brother: Edwin Longenecker Jr.; and a brother-in-law: Charles Hertzog.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robert’s graveside service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m.
