Robert E. Golden Sr., 61, Wilbur Chocolate Company worker, passionate about cars

Robert E. “Bob” Golden Sr., 61, of Manheim, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ada Shank Golden Finefrock. Bob was the loving husband of Sherry L. Fitzpatrick Golden, and they observed their 42nd wedding anniversary in February.

For more than 28 years, Bob worked as a maintenance mechanic for the Wilbur Chocolate Co., Lititz. His passion was cars of all types; and he loved being able to work on them every chance he had.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Sherry, is a son: Robert E. Golden Jr. of Carlisle; a daughter: Jennifer L., wife of Eric Ramirez, of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren: Breanna L. Shrieves and Alexander L. Ramirez; a brother: Russell, husband of Anne Shank, of Elizabethtown; and two sisters: Della Sheetz of New Port Richey, Fla.; and Crystal, wife of Kevin May, of Lancaster.

Preceding him in death is a brother, Gary Golden.

Bob’s memorial service was held Sept. 12 at the Buch Funeral Home, Manheim.
