Rebecca Shelby, DMD, 46, local dentist, mother of three

Rebecca “Becky” Shelby, DMD, 46, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.

Becky was the mother of three beautiful children who were the love of her life: Caroline (15), Morgan (11), and Jackson (8). She was full of energy and humor.

Becky was born in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of Capt., USN (Ret.) Edwards and Carolyn (Sharpless) Little of Alexandria, Va. In addition to her three children, she is survived by her husband: Joseph D. “Jody” Shelby to whom she was married for 22 years; her sister: Allison Roberts; and her brother: Edwards S. Little Jr., LTC PA Army National Guard; and a number of nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Becky graduated from Gettysburg College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She worked locally as a dentist for the past 20 years in the Lancaster and Brownstown area.

Services were held Nov. 29 in the chapel at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, Lititz, with The Rev. Tony Hunt officiating. She was interred in Witness Park, Lititz.
