Rebecca S. Tammany, 82, answered the call to go home with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 21, 2018 while residing at Brethren Village in Lititz.

Born in Lancaster County on May 5, 1935 a daughter of the late Amos J. and Lizzie (Stoltzfus) Lapp. Her husband, Harry S. Tammany Jr. preceded her in death in 2007.

Rebecca was a member of Calvary Church where she was a faithful member of the choir and enjoyed volunteering with a heart to serve people. She enriched the lives of so many people and spending time with her family meant the world to her, including her great-nephew, Josh.

She was a certified nurse assistant, having worked five years at Lancaster General Hospital and 25 years at Conestoga View.

She is survived by three sisters: Hannah Hauenstein; Mary Davis; and Elizabeth Bell, wife of Ezra Stoltzfus; a brother: Samuel Lapp, husband of Josefina; a stepdaughter: Eileen O., wife of Gary Martin; a step-granddaughter: Tania, wife of Craig Zaliznock; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters: Rachel, Mattie, and Sarah.

Services were held April 27 in the chapel at Calvary Church, Lancaster, with the Rev. John Frye officiating. A private interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Calvary Church Worship Ministry, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
