Raymond F. ‘Motts’ Myers, 88, worked at Woodstream, PSU football, WHS sports fan, enjoyed hunting

Raymond F. “Motts” Myers, 88, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at the United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz.

He was the loving husband of the late Nancy J. Myers, who died in 2010. Born in Lititz, he was a son of the late Gilbert G. and Grace (Frederick) Myers.

Motts worked for Woodstream in Lititz for many years. He loved to hunt, travel and frequent sporting events, especially Warwick High events and Penn State football.

He is survived by his children: Vickie, wife of Ronald Hossler; Rick, husband of Dee Myers; and Sharon, wife of James Hollinger; a brother: Gilbert Myers of Lititz; and a sister: Phylliss King of Manheim. He will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters: Dorothy Kline, Ruth White, Barbara Felker, Vivian Wettig and Romaine Young; and a brother: Robert Myers.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz. A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Machpelah Cemetery in Lititz.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the United Zion Retirement Community for the wonderful care they provided for our father, while under their care. Also, to hospice for their wonderful support during his care.
