Ralph E. Gibble, 84, Korea vet, taught HVAC classes at LCTCC, Mt. Joy Fire Department member

Ralph E. Gibble, 84, of Mount Joy, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at his residence.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank S. and Mary (Earhart) Gibble. Ralph was the husband of J. Miriam (Fitzkee) Gibble with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage this past Dec. 24.
Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Manheim Central Class of 1948 and later received his teaching certificate from the Pennsylvania State University in 1985. He retired in 1995 from Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Mount Joy as a plumbing and HVAC teacher. Ralph was a member of St Mark’s United Methodist Church in Mount Joy. He was also a lifetime member of the Fire Department of Mount Joy, Milton Grove Sportsman’s Club, and Mount Joy Sportsman’s Association. An avid hunter, he enjoyed trips to his cabin in Huntingdon County. Ralph also enjoyed boating.
Surviving in addition to his wife: J. Miriam Gibble; are three children: Elizabeth Anne Liggins of Mount Joy; Richard A. Gibble (Brenda) of Rheems; and John A. Gibble (Kimberly) of Duncannon; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother: Dave Gibble (Sandy) of Penryn; and Marilyn Shuey (Reuben) of Mount Joy.
A memorial service honoring Ralph’s life will be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 37 E. Main St., Mount Joy, on Thursday, June 11, at noon. Family and friends will be received at the church following the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
