Phyllis G. Lord, 94, worked at Dunkin Donuts, member of Manheim Steigel Roses

Phyllis G. Lord, 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in English, Ind., and formerly of Manheim, she was the widow of Calvin Lord, who passed away in 1989, and the daughter of the late Charles J. and Lilly May Satterfield Beasley.

Phyllis worked for the original Dunkin Donuts on Columbia Avenue as a waitress. She was a former member of the Farm Women # 2, Manheim Steigel Roses, Colerain Grange, and Union Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood. Phyllis collected dolls and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by two loving daughters: Alana, wife of William P. Neely, Lancaster; and Sherry, wife of Harold W. Cassel, Manheim; and a foster son: Brian Gentzler of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles P. Beasley, Paul Raney Beasley, and John Henry Beasley.

Services were held Dec. 30 at Wheatland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, with Dr. Bruce Mawhinney officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
