Phoebe Ann Bakeman, former Lititz resident, Lititz H.S. grad, grandmother of three

Phoebe Ann Bakeman of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Lititz, passed away suddenly Dec. 31, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph M. and Margarete L. Spacht. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Bakeman.

She graduated from Lititz High School Class of 1953 and attended Gettysburg College where she met her husband Ron. They spent most of their married life in New Jersey before retiring to Morehead City, N.C. After Ron’s passing she moved to Greensboro, N.C., where she resided at Whitestone Senior Living Community.

She was a sweet and loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by daughters: Debbie Elium and son-in-law Stuart Elium of Greensboro, N.C.; and Holly Tkacs and son-in-lay Mitchell Tkacs of Hamilton, N.J.; grandchildren: Alex and Lauren Elium, and Matthew Tkacs; a brother: R. William, husband of Ruth Y. Spacht of Lititz; and nieces.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment at the Machpelah Cemetery, Lititz.
