Perry L. Copenhaver, 88, Warner Lambert worker, farmer, water hauler, deep sea fisherman

Perry L. Copenhaver, 88, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz.

He was born in Richland to the late Howard and Florence (Root) Copenhaver, and was the husband of Margaret E. (Grove) Copenhaver.

Perry was a member of Reinholds United Zion Church. He worked at Warner Lambert for 34 years, was a farmer, and also hauled water for swimming pools. Perry enjoyed deep sea fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his seven children: Yvonne Copenhaver of Jacksonville, Fla.; Eric, husband of Brenda (Mumma) Copenhaver of New Holland; Kirk, husband of Linda (Stehr) Copenhaver of Ephrata; Neil, husband of Mary (Gerhart) Copenhaver of Ephrata; Avery, husband of Jennie (Horning) Copenhaver of Lititz; Craig, husband of Kristen (Martin) Copenhaver of Stevens; Arno, husband of Lisa (Nolt) Copenhaver of Ephrata; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother: Dennis Copenhaver of Lebanon; and a sister: Fern Smith of Lebanon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Nevin Copenhaver; two brothers: Franklin and Owen Copenhaver; and three sisters: Verna Maine, June Wolf and Carolyn Hartranft.

Services were held April 19 at Ephrata United Zion Church, with Rev. Leon Eberly officiating. Interment followed in Mount Airy Cemetery.
