Paul J. Schload, 97, WWII vet, photographer, past president of Lititz Sportsmen’s Association

Paul J. Schload, 97, of Lititz, passed away at home March 12, 2015 under the care of hospice.

Born in Ephrata, he is survived by his wife, Edna L. Schload. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on April 17.

Paul was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He spent the next 35 years as a photographer, retiring in 1980. He loved the outdoors. He especially liked trout fishing and mushroom hunting. He wrote several articles for outdoor magazines and was a past president of the Lititz Sportsmen’s Association.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by two children: Kyle, husband of Donna; and Karen; a grandson: Korey, husband of Melissa; a great-grandson: Kyan; and his brother: Walter.

Interment will be private. Contributions in Paul’s name may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
