Orville R. Miller, 84, Ephrata cigar factory worker, outdoorsman, enjoyed family picnics

Orville R. Miller, 84, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 in his home.

He was the husband of Martha I. Sweigart Miller. He was born in Heidelberg Township on March 10, 1934, a son of the late Orville Wealand and Bertha May Smith Miller.

Orville was employed for many years at the cigar factory in Ephrata. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his children and attending family picnics.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters: Kimberly Beck of Manheim; Joanne Miller of Lititz; Sybilla Mentzer of Denver; sons: Marvin Miller of Rapho Township; Marlin Miller and wife Karen of Denver; Melvin Miller and wife Karen of Ephrata; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Pete Bashore and Marvin Bashore; and sisters: Alma Miller and Donna Brown.

Funeral services were held Sept. 1 at Clauser Funeral Home, Schaefferstown. Interment was in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville.
