Merita W. Hallacher, 83, Wagaman Printing worker, family was the most important thing to her

Merita W. Hallacher, 83, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019.

She was the wife of Richard P. Hallacher, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage this past Oct. 28. Born in Lancaster and a lifelong resident of Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Souders Wagaman.

She was a graduate of the former Lititz High School and had attended both Gettysburg College and Millersville University.

Merita was a homemaker and, in years past, worked in her family’s business, Wagaman Printing in Lititz. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she enjoyed taking family vacations to Ocean City, Md., and the Poconos. Merita was a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Marcia M. Gephart of Lancaster; and her son Richard “Rick” C.. Hallacher of Lititz; her three grandchildren: Lindsay, married to Eric Forbes; Matthew Gephart, married to Katie; and Justin Gephart, companion to Sarah Matthews, and two great-grandchildren: Madison and Leif.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Judith Wilson.

Services were held March 13 at Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Lititz. Interment was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
