Melanie S. Vener, 46, MCHS grad, mother of three, avid photographer, active in MDA

Melanie S. Vener, 46, of Enola, and formerly of Manheim, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Barry L. and Sue Bruckhart Weidman. She was the loving wife of Michael B. Vener, and they celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in May.

Melanie graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1990 and from Lock Haven University with a B.S. in sociology.

She was a member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Melanie served as a Boy Scout committee member and was involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and The Foundation for Building Strength for Nemaline Myopathy. An avid photographer, Melanie loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are three children: Maximus, Marcus and Marlaina; and a brother: Matthew, husband of Heather Clugston Weidman of Casa Grande, Ariz.

Services were held Jan. 5 at East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery.
