Mary W. Waltman, 67, Pleasant View nurse, Cornerstone Baptist member, doll collector

Mary W. Waltman, 67, of Newmanstown, formerly of Lititz and Manheim, passed away at home after a fight with ALS on Oct. 31, 2016.

Born in Bucks County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Frances Wissler Long. She was the wife of Richard W. Waltman, whom she married on Sept. 30, 2000.

Mary furthered her education and obtained an LPN. She worked in the nursing field for more than 30 years at Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Pleasant View and Brethren Village retirement homes. She loved the Lord and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lititz. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading books, and was an avid doll collector.

Mary is survived by her husband: Dick; and brothers: Harold, husband of Dorothy Long, of Ephrata; and Bruce Long.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Patricia Becker.

Services were held Nov. 7 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Lititz. Interment was in the Longenecker’s Cemetery, Lititz.
