Mary J. Gorton, 86, worked at Woodstream Corp., enjoyed bingo and card games

Mary J. Gorton, 86, of Lititz, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, in Strasburg.

Born in Conestoga, she was the daughter of the late Murvan and Naomi Tressler Ressel. Mary was the loving wife of the late Richard M. Gorton, who died in May of 1993.

Mary worked at the former Chimney Corner Restaurant, Lititz; previously she worked many years at Woodstream Corp., Lititz. Her interests included bingo and card games.

Surviving is a daughter: Darlene K., wife of Dale Foulk, of Strasburg; a son: Frederick R., husband of Rose Gorton, of Mount Joy; six grandchildren: Monica Leigey, Brad Gorton, Amy Gorton, Tiffany Brown, Rachel Rank, Zach Pennel; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Mahlon Ressel of Elizabethtown.

Preceding her in death are three brothers: Harold, Murvan, and Clarence Ressel.

Services were held Sept. 18 in the Steinman Hall at Moravian Manor Retirement Community, Lititz. Interment was private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
