Marie J. Shultz, 79, homemaker, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church parishioner, generous person

Marie J. Shultz, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at Moravian Manor.

She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Shultz. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Clair E. Zeller and Evelyn (Ginter) Zeller Hart.

Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed going to garage sales, cats, visiting shut-ins, and was a very generous person. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was involved with the senior citizen’s club.

She is survived by her sister: Beverly Ann Hoffman of Lititz; and two nephews: Timothy Hoffman, husband of Janet, of Lititz; and David Hoffman, husband of Lisa, of Reading; six great-nieces and nephews: Andrew, Christopher, Michael, Mary, Sarah, and Matthew Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by her son: Michael L. Shultz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m., from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 503 E. Orange St., Lancaster, with Fr. Daniel P. O’Brien as celebrant. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
