Mae S. Reich, 89, seamstress, First UMC member, Ephrata WellSpan volunteer

Mae S. Reich, 89, of Lititz, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at Luther Acres.

She was born in Earl Township to the late Martin S. and Alice S. (Stauffer) Bauman, and was the wife of the late Harold H. Reich, who passed away in 2001.

Mae was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ephrata. During her working years, she had worked as a seamstress at various sewing factories in the area. Mae volunteered at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, was involved with Woman’s Connection and enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by her siblings: Clarence Bauman of Arizona; Ray, husband of Lydia Bauman of Terre Hill; Paul, husband of Virginia Bauman of Reamstown; Harold, husband of Janet Bauman of Denver; Titus, husband of Ruth Bauman of Missouri; Lila, wife of Carl Zimmerman of Missouri; Erla Martin of Ephrata; Nora, wife of Donald Busser of Fivepointville; Arlene, wife of Harvey Zimmerman of Missouri; Joyce, wife of Mahlon Good of Fivepointville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters: Kathryn Zimmerman, Pauline Long and Mildred Martin.

A viewing will be held Monday, Nov. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 68 N. Church St., Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Walter S. Carter officiating. Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
