M. Ivy Daugherty, 71, school volunteer, Jerusalem Church member, cherished family time

M. Ivy Daugherty, 71, of Manheim, passed away at home on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018.

Born in Raleigh, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and M. Dixie Seagroves Everest. She was the loving wife of Raymond F. “Ray” Daugherty, and they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this month.

Ivy was a member of Jerusalem Church, Penryn. In her earlier years, she volunteered at several schools in the Mt. Airy, Md., area both public and Christian. Ivy loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children: R. Patrick, husband of Jessica Daugherty of Lititz; and Susan E. wife of Timothy Hays of Mt. Airy, Md.; and their daughter-in-love: Diane Daugherty; six grandchildren: Jessie, Tylr, Nathan, Emily, Taylor, Autumn; two great-grandchildren: Asher and Lily; and five step-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Jerusalem Church, 1620 Newport Road, Manheim, in the village of Penryn, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and again following the service at the church on Saturday.
