Lois J. McKinney, 84, Lititz native, OMPH member, enjoyed arts and crafts, reading

Lois J. McKinney, 84, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Ephrata Manor.

She was born in Lititz to the late Harry M. and Elsie (Crouse) Weitzel and was the wife of the late John W. McKinney who passed away in 1978.

Lois attended Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She had worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Shoreson Company, Brownstown. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting and making caps for babies.

Lois is survived by a son: Michael, husband of Deb McKinney of Lancaster; four grandchildren: Shannon and Jonathon Bowers, Miranda and Shawn McKinney; two great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Lilyan; a brother: Jeff, husband of Eileen Weitzel of Lewes, Del.; and a sister: Linda Leister of Lititz.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter: Lynn Bowers.

A graveside service took place Nov. 28 in the Rothsville United Zion Cemetery, Warwick Township.
