Lois B. Peters, 89, farm wife, active at Manheim Mennonite, Church generous, enjoyed gardening

Lois B. Peters, 89, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Elam and Margaret Floyd Brubaker. Lois was the loving wife of the late Luke K. Peters, who died in January 2012.

She was an active and faithful member of the Manheim Mennonite Church, and passionately supported the sewing circle throughout the years. Her interests included flower and vegetable gardening. Over the years Lois faithfully helped her husband on the hobby family farm. Lois had a kind and gentle spirit; known for giving and helping others during her walk on this earth with her Lord.

Surviving are four daughters: Karen P., wife of Carl S. Mentzer of Manheim; Joanne, wife of Timothy P. O’Connell of Singapore; Irene B., wife of Steven Villanueva of Lebanon; Audrey B., wife of Timothy S. Winters of Elizabethtown, seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister: Grace Stauffer of Lititz; and two brothers: James, husband of Miriam Brubaker; and Luke, husband of Barb Brubaker all of Mount Joy.

Preceding her in death is a sister: Dorothy Hershey.

Services were held Dec. 29 at Manheim Mennonite Church, with interment in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery.
