Lloyd B. Stauffer, 72, long-time upholsterer, active at Brunnerville UMC, enjoyed fly tying

Lloyd B. Stauffer, 72, formerly of Brunnerville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

Born in Lovesville, Md., he was son of the late Allen S. and Nancy B. Stauffer.

He retired in 2009 as an upholsterer after 40 years, belonged to the National Upholsterers Association, and received a degree at LaSalle University in interior decorating.

Lloyd was a member of Brunnerville United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and youth director for years and was a counselor at Bowmanstown Church campground in Bowmanstown. Lloyd loved tying flies, playing guitar, and going to the mountains and the shore.

Surviving are his loving wife: Dixie Cammauf Stauffer; two sons: Scott J., husband of Lori, of Brownstown; and Steven L., husband of Shannon, of Ephrata; five grandchildren: Matthew, Rachel, Caroline, Rebekah, and Brett; a great-grandson: Liam Stauffer; and two step-grandchildren, Kris and Jessica Pursel. He has four brothers and five sisters: Ellen Sensenig of Hillsboro, Ohio; Josephine (Calvin) Stauffer: Earl; Wayne (Nancy), all of Port Trevorton; Beatrice (Stanley) Zimmerman of Leonardtown, Md.; Ida Mae (Noah) Martin; and Nancy (John) Auker, all of Ephrata; Chester (Lucille) Stauffer of South Carolina; and Lester (Elsie) Stauffer of Bainbridge, Ohio.

A memorial service for the family is being planned.
