Linda R. Boehler, 61, machine operator at Johnson & Johnson, collected chickens

Linda R. Boehler, 61, of Lancaster, passed away June 14, 2015, at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Adelma Meyer Drake. She was the wife of the late Glenn Boehler, who passed away in 2012.

Formerly of Lititz, Linda was a 1971 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and worked as a machine operator at Johnson & Johnson in Lititz for more than 30 years. Linda was a breast cancer survivor and enjoyed spending time with her children and Murphy, her Border collie/Sheltie mix. She spent her free time watching HGTV and through the years acquired a collection of chickens.

Linda will be lovingly missed by her daughters: Jennie Boehler, Lancaster; Kathryn, wife of Tyler Coe, Lititz; stepson: Christian Boehler, husband of Gina, Spring, Texas; grandchildren: Mikayla and Michael; and a brother: William Drake, husband of Cheryl, Shippensburg.

Family and friends are invited to the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, for a viewing on Wednesday, June 17, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday, June 18, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.

Linda’s family requests that donations in memory of Linda be made to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, 2397 Quentin Road, Suite B, Lebanon, PA 17042.
