Larry Coldren, 70, Vietnam vet, High Steel retiree, enjoyed trapping, coffee at SKH, walking

Larry Coldren, 70, of Lititz, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster to the late Wayne Coldren and Kathryn J. (Schoenberger) Coldren of Manheim.

He was of Lutheran faith. Larry worked for High Steel for over 30 years before he retired in October 2018. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam. Larry enjoyed walking, reading, fishing and trapping, and in earlier years, billiards. He also enjoyed visiting Stauffer’s for coffee and the newspaper on Sundays and was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by a son: Sean M. Coldren of Manheim; a sister: Debra, wife of Todd Nauman of Manheim; two nieces: Tanya Allard, Ashley Nauman; and a great-niece and nephew: Garett and Alina Allard.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Sandra J. Coldren.

Services were held March 18 at Stradling Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Richard Cook officiating. Interment was in Witness Park, Lititz.
