Kenneth L. Regener, 82, Lukens Steel worker, created scroll sawed plaques for military vets

Kenneth L. Regener, 82, of Lititz, passed away after a three-month illness, on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at home.

He was born in Coatesville to the late John T. and Edna E. (Ford) Regener, and was the husband of Kathleen Faye (Weaver) Regener.

He attended Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Lititz. Kenneth was a steel worker for 30 years for Lukens in Coatesville. He loved his family, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Oakland A’s fan. He enjoyed scroll sawing crosses and plaques, especially plaques for military veterans.

In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by a stepson: Joshua Pearson of Philadelphia; two step-daughters: Amanda, wife of Aaron Griffith, of Elizabethtown; Renee, wife of Doug Strawbridge, of Ephrata; two grandchildren: Emmett Griffith, Artemas Strawbridge; a brother: Mervin, husband of Nancy (Kohls) Regener, of York; and two sisters: Millie, wife of the late James Alexander, of Honey Brook; Charlotte, wife of Ray Reeser, of Holdrege, Neb.

Services were held Feb. 18 at Trinity E.C. Church, Lititz, with Pastor Ryan Taylor officiating and Pastor Kevin Sylvester offering prayer and sharing. Interment will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date at the family’s convenience.
