June Sanders Brobst, 81, Lititz, former music teacher, sang with Carolina Master Chorale

June Sanders Brobst, 81, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Kenneth Brobst of Lititz for more than 56 years. Born June 21, 1933, in Woodbury, N.J., she was a daughter of the late F. Grant and Ethel (Brooks) Sanders.

June was a member of Grace UMC in Pen Argyl and a member of Westminster PCA in Lancaster. She worked as a music teacher for 12 years in Easton; for elementary schools in New Jersey; and at East Stroudsburg Christian. She enjoyed knitting for mission projects: Logos Center in Kiev, Ukraine and elsewhere through Westminster PCA, and reading Christian novels. She loved choir singing. She sang with the Carolina Master Chorale at Lincoln Center for Tercentenary Charles Wesley Fest when she resided in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In addition to her husband, June is survived by her children: Kenton (Sue) of Pen Argyl, Keith (Sharon) of Wind Gap, and Jodi Nafziger (Brian) of Lititz; grandchildren: Megan, Kristen, Adam, Joshua, Zachary, Christopher and Katrina; sister: Virginia Taylor (Curtis) of Willow Valley; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: F. Brooks Sanders and Gordon Sanders.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. at Grace UMC, 404 E. Mountain Ave., Pen Argyl. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund of Grace UMC, 404 E. Mountain Ave., Pen Argyl, PA 18072.
