Judy M. (Ehrhart) Converse went to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 30, 1948 in Corry to Frank and Frieda Ehrhart, now deceased.

She grew up in Coudersport, where she graduated in 1966. She had a whirlwind romance with Donald C. Converse of Genesee, and they were married on Aug. 12, 1967. They were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12, 2017.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Lisa (married to Al) Quaglieri of Lebanon; and Denise (married to Chad) Reichert of Ephrata. She is survived by three grandchildren: Caitlyn and Nicolas Reichert of Ephrata, and Tyler Quaglieri of Lebanon. She is survived by one brother: Frank; and four sisters: Betty, Karen, Barb, and Wanda.

She attended Jerusalem Church in Penryn. She loved people and took the time to talk with anyone she met. No one was a stranger to her.

She always enjoyed a good laugh and had a great sense of humor. She had a positive, optimistic attitude as she walked her cancer journey, two times. She shared her faith and love for God to those who would listen. She always gave God the glory for sustaining her. She had a full life while making many wonderful memories with her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Church, 1620 Newport Road, Manheim. There will be a luncheon at the church following service.

Her philosophy on flowers was that they should be given while we are alive to enjoy them. So, in lieu of flowers, consider doing a kindness, sharing God, or just enjoy some flowers yourself, in her honor.
