Judith “Judy” A. Wilson, 77, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly March 13, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Lititz on Oct. 10, 1937 to the late Charles J. and Margaret S. Wagaman

Judy graduated from Lititz High School in 1955 and worked as parish secretary for St. John’s Lutheran Church of Maytown and as secretary for the East Donegal Township Sewer Authority, from which she retired in 2004. She made close friends through her work and her long-standing membership with Lutheran Church Women, and as a devoted mother served as troop leader for the Maytown Girl Scouts and as den mother for Maytown’s Cub Scout Pack 53. Judy enjoyed camping with her family and pets, quiet time at home spent crafting, bird-watching, gardening and reading, and connecting with her children and grandchildren over dinner and puzzles. Her gentle nature and musical laughter will be missed by family, friends, and animals alike.

Survivors include her husband and confidant of 50 years: Harold L. Wilson of Maytown; two children: Jennifer A. Vandermark of Bloomsburg and Howard L. Wilson of Middletown; two grandchildren: Tanner W. and Margaret E. Vandermark; sister: Merita M. Hallacher; and two very spoiled pets: Odie and Delana.

A life celebration ceremony will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 47 W. Main St., Mount Joy, PA 17552, or to a local SPCA.

Spacht Funeral Home, Lititz, is in charge of arrangements. To offer an online condolence to the family, visit lifecelebration.com.
