Jared E. Cardarelli, 23, Warwick grad, Army vet, worked at Bent Creek Golf Course, Patriots fan

Jared E. Cardarelli, 23, of Lititz and formerly of Reedsville, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Hershey Medical Center. He fought a long, hard battle with leukemia.

He was born Oct. 28, 1992, in Fairfax, Va.

Jared graduated in 2011 from Warwick High School. He then served in the United States Army from 2011 to 2013. He was currently employed with Bent Creek Golf Course in Manheim Township.

He enjoyed hunting, playing basketball, shooting pool with his friends, and watching sports on TV. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He loved motorcycles, trucks and cars.

He is survived by his father: Edmond R. Cardarelli, and step-mother: Kelly M., of Huntingdon; and mother: Holly J. (Treaster) Kelley, and step-father: Christopher R., of Lititz; and siblings: Austin L. Cardarelli of Reedsville; and Allison M. Cardarelli of Huntingdon; step-siblings: Allyssa R. Kelley and Jordan R. Kelley of Lititz; maternal grandparents: Barry and Linda Pennington of Belleville; step-grandparents: Daniel and Dotti Geckle of Orbisonia; paternal grandparents: Arnold and Jane Gonsalves of Warwick, R.I; and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncle: Richard A. Cardarelli; paternal grandmother: Rita Cardarelli Gonsalves; a cousin: Dale B. Treaster; and an aunt: Darlene Cardarelli.

His funeral service was held July 22 at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial took place at Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville.
