James Joseph Hackart, 75, machine operator at KD Tools, Phillies fan

James Joseph Hackart, 75, of 127 W. Orange St., Lititz, died unexpectedly Sept. 30, 2014 at the Heart of Lancaster Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ella Striggle Hackart.

Jim was a machine operator for KD Tools in Lancaster, retiring after 25 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He is survived by two daughters: Amy M., wife of Michael Burkman, Lititz; and Kimberly A., wife of J. Brian Weaver, Lancaster; a son: Jody Hackart, Willow Street; a brother: George Hackart, husband of Shirley, Lancaster; seven grandchildren: Shannon Hackart., TJ Walker, Brittany Walker, Kylee Walker, Taryn McClaren, Morgan Hackart and Haley Weaver; three great-grandchildren: Andrew Hossler, Brayden Sites and Maddison McClaren.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Bob Hackart.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to Spacht Funeral Home, Lititz.
