Isabel Shrum91, Hamilton Watch retiree, enjoyed crocheting

Isabel (Leonard) Shrum, 91, of Manheim, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.

Born June 8, 1920 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Estelle Diffenderfer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Shrum Jr., on Sept. 11, 2009.

Mrs. Shrum was a member of Manheim Brethren in Christ Church. She had been an employee and retired from Hamilton Watch. Isabel enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her great-grandson.

Mrs. Shrum is survived by her sons: William E. III, husband of Phyllis M. Shrum, of Brownstown; and F. Wesley, husband of Jo Ann T. Shrum, of Centerville, Mass.; her grandchildren: Stephanie, Christopher and Mark Shrum and Tannia Carpenter; and her great-grandchildren: Madison Larner and Daulton Carpenter.

A funeral service was held March 5 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, with Rev. Lee Damon officiating. Burial followed the service at East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
