Glenn Dale Davidson, 83, Korea vet, manager at Wilbur Chocolate, did mission work

Glenn Dale Davidson, 83, Eastvale, Calif., formerly of Lititz, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, after a long illness.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father: John Davidson; his mother: Mabel Davidson; and his brother: Robert Davidson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, the love of his life: Amy Fasnacht Davidson; a son: Gary Davidson, Kirkland, Wash.; a daughter: Kathy Laxner and her husband Don, Southhampton N.J.; a daughter: Anita Wainscott and her husband Bruce, Fresno Calif.; a son: Jim and his wife Shelly, Eastvale Calif.; his brother: Kenneth Davidson and his wife, Elizabeth, Halifax; brother: Philip Davidson and his wife, Cathy, Lititz; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Glenn was born on May 24, 1933 in Lancaster.

He worked at Wilbur Chocolate Co. before serving our nation’s Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in April 1955 and then served eight years in Army Reserve. He returned to Wilbur Chocolate where he served as manager of the research department, and also did public relations work.

Glenn graduated from Lancaster Bible College then completed additional graduate work. After graduation, Glenn and Amy went into mission work with Village Missions. They served churches in Dillon, Colo.; Ahwahnee, Calif.; Applegate, Calif.; and Dalkena, Wash. They retired in July 1999 and moved to Clifton, Colo., where Glenn served with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department in the Citizens on Patrol program. In June 2005 Glenn and Amy moved to Corona, Calif., where they were active at Northpoint Evangelical Free Church. He has now graduated with a higher degree in heaven.

A visitation service will be held on Thursday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norco Family Funeral Home, Norco, Calif. A graveside service will be on Friday, May 5, at 9:30 a.m., at the Riverside National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Glenn requested that donations be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
