Gerald E. Swinehart, 67, very kind, pro wrestling fan, enjoyed spending time on the family farm

Gerald E. Swinehart, 67, of Lititz, passed away on April 29, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ernest C. Swinehart and Janet Mary (Wilfong) Swinehart.

Gerald enjoyed watching professional wrestling. He liked spending time on the family farm and mountain properties. Gerald also enjoyed spending time with his best buddy, his brother-in-law: Wendell Sr. He loved his Rottweiler, Cyrus.

Surviving is a sister: Dolly T. Gainer, wife of Wendell; nephews: William Gainer, husband of Tiffny; Wendell Gainer Jr., husband of Linh; niece: Kelly Jankowski; great-nephews: Matthew and Jack Gainer; great-niece: Emma Gainer; and life-long best friends: Buddy and Jason Peters.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Ruth A. Sangrey and Howard C. Swinehart.

Gerald will be remembered for his kindness and gentle demeanor and personality, who would give his shirt off of his back to help anyone in need.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, May 3, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Friends will be received prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
