Georgia A. Myers, 76, bookkeeper for family businesses, Salem UMC choir director, pianist

Georgia A. Myers, 76, of Lititz, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Susquehanna Valley Nursing Home.

She was born in Kissel Hill to the late William and Helen (Carvell) Donley, and was the wife of Franklin L. Myers, with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 15.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was the choir director for over 20 years. She also played the piano and was an alto singer. Georgia was a homemaker and later a bookkeeper for the family businesses.

In addition to her husband, Georgia is survived by a son: Adam T. Myers; a daughter: Audra, wife of Ed Dziedzic; a granddaughter: Amanda J., wife of Anthony Strohm; and brother-in-law: Donald Scheirey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Sherri Lynn Myers; and a sister: Sandra Scheirey.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Salem United Methodist Church, 1744 Rothsville Road, Lititz. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, March 21, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Pastor Larry Kipp and Pastor Steven Rodgers officiating. Interment will take place in the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.
