Faye Mae Kerstetter, 75, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

She was the wife of Alan D. Kerstetter, to whom she was married for 36 years. They were first married on June 6, 1979 and then at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on June 4, 1982. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late James and Anna Houghton Mosemann.

Faye was baptized Feb. 22, 1977 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Columbia. In her early years, she worked at Hubley, Schick, and Kerr Glass. In her later years, she worked at Gimbel’s and Watt & Shand from where she retired. Faye enjoyed staying at home with her cocker spaniels: Rocky, Rose and Laura. She also enjoyed having a pool in the backyard and cooking, but most of all, she loved her little yellow truck. Over the years, she helped her husband with his parents, so that they could stay independent before their passing. For this, her husband will always be grateful and without her, he could not have done it. She was a very loving wife, and he will never forget her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, two sisters: Shirley Richer, New Castle, Ind.; and Merlyn (Alden) Transue, Mountville; along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial was held Jan. 10 at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, with Rev. Kenneth F. Lawrence officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Water Street Ministries, 210 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
